Opel started for the first time in 1988 in the DTM, after that Opel was

every year when there was a DTM championchip.

The first DTM car from Opel was the Kadett GSI 2.0 16V, after that car there was the Omega 3000, and the Omega EVO 500, after the bad years with the Omega, Opel starts with the new Calibra and there winning the Champioenchip in 1996, in 1997, 1998 and 1999 there was no DTM.

In 2000 Opel starts with Mercedes and Audi in a new DTM champioenchip, the first year was a great year for Opel Maneul Reuter was second in the champioenchip, 2001 was a very very bad year Opel has big problems with the New Astra V8 Coupé, and the first Opel was only 9 in the champioenchip that year.

In 2002 Opel starts again with the Astra V8 Coupe, after the first race it look to be a great year for Opel.
